Before Treatment: Non-Restorable Tooth Requiring Extraction

This patient came to us with a severely damaged tooth that was determined to be non-restorable due to extensive decay and structural breakdown. Because the tooth could not be saved with a crown or other restorative treatment, extraction was necessary to protect the patient's overall oral health and prevent further complications. The patient wanted a long-term solution that would restore both the appearance and function of the missing tooth after extraction.

After Treatment: Dental Implant and Custom Crown Provide a Permanent Tooth Replacement

Following the tooth extraction, Dr. John Ku replaced the missing tooth with a dental implant and a custom implant-supported crown. The dental implant was placed into the jawbone to serve as a replacement for the natural tooth root, creating a strong and stable foundation for the restoration. Once the implant fully integrated with the bone, a custom crown was attached and carefully designed to match the surrounding teeth.

The result is a natural-looking, fully functional tooth replacement that blends seamlessly with the patient's smile. The implant-supported crown restores the appearance of the missing tooth while allowing the patient to eat, speak, and smile with confidence. In addition, the dental implant helps preserve jawbone health and prevents the shifting of neighboring teeth.
