This patient came in with a cavity that required treatment, so we performed a Caries Control procedure to remove decay and evaluate the remaining tooth structure. During this process, we determine whether the tooth can be restored with a dental filling or if it requires a dental crown for additional support.
The good news? In this case, the cavity was small enough to successfully restore the tooth with a tooth-colored filling. The final result restores the strength, function, and appearance of both teeth while blending seamlessly with the surrounding smile. Composite fillings are a conservative and effective treatment for repairing cavities while preserving as much healthy tooth structure as possible.
By treating decay early, patients can maintain healthier teeth and avoid more complex dental procedures in the future. If you’re experiencing tooth sensitivity, pain, or think you may have a cavity, schedule an exam before it gets worse.
